医学生姜愿月为了寻找失踪的姐姐姜书晚，改名晏染并接近曾家二少爷曾元恺，成功以曾元恺丫鬟的身份进入了曾家。姜焰染在几番寻找后发现了被埋葬在曾家废院的姐姐尸体，她将嫌疑人身份锁定在曾家两兄弟的身上。通过陈淑琳的死，晏染和曾元恺发现曾家家主曾少宗伤天害理的真面目，以及他害死姜韵纹和曾元恺生母顾曼清，并非曾元恺生父的真相。
